Therapy with Ashling

Psychotherapy and Counselling sessions for Adults (aged 18+)

Hi, I’m Ashling — a BACP-registered psychotherapist offering integrative therapy for people who feel like they’ve lost touch with themselves.

You might have reached a point in your life where you’re asking bigger questions: Who am I, really? How did I get here? What do I want now, and why does it feel so hard to reach for it? Whether you're navigating the quiet grief of a breakup, years of people-pleasing, or simply a deep sense of disconnection, I offer a warm, grounded space to come back to yourself, gently and honestly.

My approach weaves together different therapeutic modalities, always led by you and your unique process. I often work with clients who are dealing with low self-worth, co-dependency, or patterns that keep them stuck in roles that no longer feel true. Together, we explore the parts of you that have been silenced or forgotten, and slowly, with compassion, reconnect to your voice, your needs, and your inner knowing.

I believe therapy isn’t just about talking through problems, it’s about rediscovering your sense of self, rewriting inner narratives, and creating a more aligned way of being in the world. If that resonates, I’d love to walk with you for a while on your journey.

I’m a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist offering therapy in London and online. If you're ready to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, I’d love to support you.

If this resonates with you, you’re very welcome to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit.

Who I Work With

I work with people who feel like they’ve lost themselves — often after the end of a relationship, a significant life change, or years spent caring for others at the expense of their own needs. You might be feeling emotionally exhausted, unsure of who you are anymore, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.

You may be navigating:

  • Overthinking and anxiety

  • Struggles with boundaries or people-pleasing

  • Repeating relationship patterns that leave you drained

  • Grief, identity loss, or emotional overwhelm

  • A quiet sense that something’s missing, even if you can’t name it

You don’t need a diagnosis or crisis to start therapy. If you're feeling low, lost, or disconnected from your own life — that’s reason enough. Therapy can be a space to gently reconnect with yourself and begin to rebuild from a place of self-worth.

My Approach

My work is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models to meet your unique needs. These include relational, psychodynamic, humanistic, and body-aware approaches. But more than anything, I centre you - your pace, your story, and your inner wisdom.

Our work together might involve exploring the parts of you that have felt silenced, minimised, or hidden. We’ll look at the patterns that are holding you back, while also creating space for new ways of being, rooted in clarity, compassion, and choice.

At the heart of therapy is relationship, and I believe real change happens when you feel safe, seen, and supported. That’s why I offer a free 20-minute consultation, so we can see if working together feels like a good fit.

Where do I work?

  • Online therapy via Google Meet

  • In-person sessions in Surbiton Area (currently waitlist only)

  • Outdoor therapy – walking sessions in local green spaces, for those who find it easier to connect in nature (currently waitlist only)

Outdoor therapy can be a powerful way to reconnect when talking indoors feels too intense or restricted. Being in nature can support emotional regulation, offer new perspective, and make space for deeper connection, both with yourself and the world around you.

If outdoor or walk-and-talk sessions interest you, I’d be happy to explore this together.

From our very first session, I felt completely at ease with Ashling, which made it easy to build up the trust required for an effective therapeutic partnership. Ashling has a calm, matter-of-fact demeanour which immediately puts you at ease, making it really easy to open up and discuss the important stuff. Within half a dozen sessions, we’d worked through some unhelpful habits and negative thought patterns and charted a clear pathway out of a very dark and difficult period. Ashling combines quiet, unflappable confidence and an unflinching determination to address mental health challenges with a gentle, compassionate and deeply empathic approach.
